Fashion is a tricky beast. Fashion trends tend to change and evolve all the time, especially in the modern age. But with so many changes, it often happens that they revert to what they were before. Such is the case with these 80s fashion trends that are making a comeback today. Some you’ll like and some you’ll hate. As always, fashion is very subjective, and it’s up to you to decide what you like and what fits you.
Animal prints are back in certain places. All I have to say to this is, um, no… and WHY?
On a more positive note, the unfalteringly awesome mirrored sunglasses are being worn more often. Where do I get mine?
I’ve heard that drop crotch pants are back in style with some fashion lovers. Guys, please, don’t wear these, they are just ridiculous.
Wide waist clinching belts are making a comeback at runways all over the world. They’ll definitely become a trend with regular folks sooner than later.
What about denim jackets, those have always looked great. I for one am glad they’re back.
Let’s not forget the all-white outfits. Now, this is not about taste, it’s just impractical; because you will spill something on it at one point.
Next on the list are two words that come straight from hell – fanny packs. Why, oh dear Lord why? Please just burn them all or something.
What about metallic fabrics? I don’t know what to think about these. Seems to me that they look great on some people and ridiculous on others.
Furthermore, shoulder pads are becoming a trend again. Personally, I find them weird, but what do I know.
How about those oversized funky furs? If they’re made from an animal, shame on you for wearing that.
Now, those glittery outfits are coming back because of celebrities. First of all, why do they hate us? Second, glitter is the worst.
Seems like women have been wearing off-the-shoulders dresses more often recently. These were beautiful in the 80 and they definitely still are.
In the end, I have to say, I’m divided on this 80s fashion resurgence thing. Some of these I like, some I hate. What about you, what do you think?
