This summer, there are lots of content kids enjoying their Push-Ups, Fudgesicles, and Flavor-Ices. Nearly 50% of Americans believe they’re content to allow their children to spend a great deal of money at the local ice cream vendor this year.
According to a recent survey of 2,000 Americans, 47% intend to provide their kids more opportunities to partake in this summer recreation than they did. One in five participants (23%) did not grow up in a neighborhood where ice cream vans were common, even though one in three respondents (34%) purchased their personal truck-sourced desserts many days or more every summer. Another 17% have never placed an order from an ice cream vendor in their entire life.
The survey, which OnePoll undertook for Oatly, also shows that individuals consume additional ice cream in the summertime (45%) more than any other time of year. Despite being the most favored dessert by survey participants (82%), around 68% of them said they always keep ice cream inside their freezer. Even though one in three sees these vehicles considerably more often than they did as children, many adults find that they don’t hold the same allure.
Even among the best locations to purchase ice cream, vans (18%) fell short of ice cream shops (35%) and stores (22%). In addition, 49% of respondents think their bodies “simply can’t handle” the kinds of sweets that ice cream vendors have made famous in recent years.

As a result, almost 30% reported consuming gluten-free items every single day, trailed by 17% of respondents who maintain rigorous dairy-free meals.
