Take a Degree in Computer Animation at the California Institute of the Arts
The California Institute of the Arts first opened its doors in 1961 in Santa Clarita, California. The CalArts credential in 3D animation is well-known. The institution has received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges’ Senior College and University Commission. Both Chris Buck, the Academy Award-winning writer-director of the animated blockbuster Frozen, and Tim Burton, the director of Edward Scissorhands and countless other well-known films, attended CalArts. This university’s animation program provides 11 specializations, including computer animation, motion design, and virtual reality development. The BFA in Computer Animation program at RCAD teaches students how to create characters and convey stories using computer-generated animation.

The USC BA in Animation and Digital Arts Program Enables Senior Students
The University of Southern California (USC), a public research university with 22 academic schools and departments, was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1880.

SVA differs from other animation schools in that it places a greater emphasis on practical training than other VFX schools. Through their “BFA in Animation” curriculum, you will learn how to use many types of industry-standard software, including Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, and Maya.

You will learn how to develop a plot from writers, how to run an animation production from directors, and how to use 3D modelling software from specialized artists.
