Top Selling Video Games in 2017

If you are looking to buy a new game to play but you don’t want to get burned with a terrible game, it’s always safe to go for the best-selling ones. They aren’t best-selling for no reason.

Naturally, in the first place is Call of Duty: WWII. The Call of Duty games never get old nor do they get boring. This one is a nice refresher, taking the franchise back to World War 2. Plus, there’s the multiplayer, so the fun will never stop. Next on the list is Destiny 2, sequel to the highly acclaimed Destiny. The game is decent and if you’ve been enjoying the original, you’ll also love this one.

In the third and fourth place are sports games. The third is NBA 2K18, from the neverending NBA 2K franchise, and the fourth is Madden NFL 18.

The 5th place belongs to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, a very decent shooting game that’s certainly worth playing if you enjoy FPS games.

In the 6th place is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the new Zelda game that took the world by storm. Highly praised by critics and players alike, the game is one of the best that came out of 2017 and is the Game of the Year according to numerous publications. If you have one of the two Nintendo consoles, you have to play it.

Next up is Grand Theft Auto V, the only game on the list that didn’t come out in 2017. The game is over 3 years old and still topping the charts! No wonder Rockstar is not making a new one…

In the 8th place is Ubisoft’s fighting game – For Honor. It’s followed by another fighting game – Injustice 2, the sequel to the popular Injustice. Naturally, the game is so popular because of Batman! Everybody loves Batman.

In the last place is probably the best and certainly the most special game of 2017 – Horizon Zero Dawn. Exclusive to PS4, it’s a must-play game. It’s also the Game of the Year according to several publications.

The games that are surprisingly not among the top 10 are Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Origins. I am very happy that Battlefront didn’t make it since they went too far with greed this time. No wonder fans basically boycotted the game. As for Origins, that game is actually quite good. It’s somewhat of a reboot of the Assassin’s franchise and it’s actually much better than several previous ones.
